Research Associate II
Corgenix, an FDA regulated medical diagnostics company, was founded in 1990. The Company is located in Broomfield, Colorado, ten miles northwest of Denver. Corgenix develops, manufactures and distributes medical diagnostic test kits, which are sold to hospitals and reference laboratories worldwide. As a result of continued growth, there are several new opportunities available in the Research and Development Department.
The Research and Development staff is responsible for all aspects of new diagnostic test kit development in compliance with FDA quality System Design Control Regulations and ISO standards. The R&D program includes new product development for Corgenix, for strategic partners, and as part of a multi-million dollar grant awarded by the National Institute of Health.
The ideal candidate will have a BS degree in a biological science with 2-5 years experience in a product development role. Expertise developing product using ELISA, Immunoturbidimetry, Lateral Flow, or a similar immunoassay technology is ideal. Candidates at all levels are encouraged to apply. Demonstrated ability to plan experimental work, document all development activities, and compile accurate research reports is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is desired, GraphPad Prism, SAS/JMP or similar statistics software is also helpful. Good interpersonal skills are a plus, as the successful candidate will interact as a member of a team and throughout the company at all levels. The R&D positions are for laboratory bench scientists and are not office based positions. Candidates will be required to participate in in-house training, which may include spending a period of time working with Quality Control and Manufacturing to ensure that new products are developed with a clear understanding of the QC and Manufacturing systems.
