Revenues of $2,495,555 and Net Income of $62,058; remain on pace for another record year

DENVER – May 14, 2013 – Corgenix Medical Corporation (OTC BB: CONX), a worldwide developer and marketer of diagnostic test kits, today filed its third quarter Form 10-Q and reported its financial results. The report disclosed that the company’s revenues for the quarter decreased slightly compared to the prior year, but were significantly higher for the nine-month period. Some of the results highlighted by the report are as follows:

Revenues for the nine months increased $833,647 or 12.0% vs. the prior year’s comparable nine months

Revenues for the quarter decreased $221,797 or 8.2% vs. the prior year’s comparable quarter

Operating income for the quarter totaled $67,019 vs. an operating loss of $169,944 in the prior year’s comparable quarter, and totaled $327,369 for the current nine month period vs. an operating loss of $220,973 for the prior year

Net income for the quarter amounted to $62,058, an increase of $247,203 from a net loss of $185,145 in the prior year’s comparable quarter

Net income for the nine-month period amounted to $310,744, an increase of $631,480 from a net loss of $320,736 in the prior year’s comparable period

EBITDA for the quarter increased $241,066 or 319.7% vs. the prior year’s comparable quarter, and $552,607 or 675.7% for the current nine month period

“Although our third quarter revenues dipped from the prior year, we finished the quarter strong, with year-to-date revenues growing at 12 percent and solid net income essentially in line with our forecast,” said President and Chief Executive Officer Douglass Simpson. “We are projecting a rebound in sales in the fourth quarter, finishing the year at record levels for both revenue and net income.”

Executives at the company continue to believe that the fourth fiscal quarter revenues will exceed the prior year’s fourth quarter, and that fiscal year 2013 revenues will set another record for annual revenues, currently revised downward to be approximately $10.3 to $10.4 million, with net income approximating $300,000 to $400,000, or slightly less than $0.01 per share. As is always the case, there can be no assurance that this guidance will be realized.

Point-of-care diagnostic test enables rapid detection of deadly Lassa viral hemorrhagic fever and related bioterrorism threat

DENVER — May 7, 2013 — Corgenix Medical Corporation (OTC BB: CONX), a worldwide developer and marketer of diagnostic tests for cardiovascular disease, liver biomarkers and emerging pathogens and lethal viruses, today announced that notification of CE Mark was received for its ReLASV® Antigen Rapid Test for Lassa Fever diagnosis.

ReLASV is the first commercialized diagnostic test developed by Corgenix and other members of the Viral Hemorrhagic Fever Consortium (VHFC), a collaboration of academic and industry members headed by Tulane University partially funded with support from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The new test kit enables rapid diagnosis of Lassa viral hemorrhagic fever, a highly infectious virus responsible for thousands of deaths each year across West Africa. The Lassa virus is considered a Category A (highest risk) pathogen and potential biowarfare agent by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).

“This 15-minute test has the potential to completely change the way Lassa fever is detected and treated,” said Douglass Simpson, Corgenix President and CEO. “Instead of having to wait days to find out if a patient has Lassa fever, health care workers are now able to diagnose and treat Lassa infections in the early acute stage, potentially saving many lives.”

Lassa fever is a dangerous, often fatal disease common to much of West Africa with children and pregnant women being the highest risk groups; early stages of the disease are difficult to distinguish from other diseases. Lassa fever is spread by contact with infected rodents and is estimated to infect 300,000 to 500,000 people per year across the region, with at least 5,000 deaths reported annually. The illness is characterized by bleeding and coagulation abnormalities, with mortality rates reported exceeding 25 percent and reaching 50 percent during epidemics.

CE Mark notification was achieved following successful completion of a multi-year study of the clinical utility of the test to evaluate patients presenting with clinical symptoms of Lassa hemorrhagic fever. Corgenix will advance the ReLASV Antigen Rapid Test into full commercialization this year.

About the Viral Hemorrhagic Fever Consortium

The Viral Hemorrhagic Fever Consortium was established in 2010 as a result of several multi-year grants and contracts awarded to Tulane University by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), to support Tulane’s ongoing efforts to treat and prevent Lassa fever. The goal of the Consortium is to understand mechanisms related to the human immune response to Lassa virus infection. Specifically, by understanding what parts of the virus are recognized by the immune system, scientists can better understand mechanisms of antibody-mediated protection or pathogenesis in humans with Lassa fever. Consortium efforts have focused on the development of new recombinant proteins for Lassa virus diagnostic products, which have shown to be extremely effective in clinical settings in Africa. This progress is allowing a transition of efforts towards instituting better treatment of affected individuals and ultimately prevention of Lassa fever altogether. The Consortium is a collaboration between Tulane, The Scripps Research Institute, Broad Institute, Harvard University, University of California at San Diego, University of Texas Medical Branch, Autoimmune Technologies LLC, Corgenix Medical Corporation, Vybion, Inc, the Kenema Government Hospital (Sierra Leone), the Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital (Nigeria) and various other partners in West Africa. More information is available at www.vhfc.org.

First-to-market, point-of-care rapid diagnostic test based on recombinant antigen technology for the detection of Lassa viral hemorrhagic fever filed for CE Marking.

DENVER — April 22, 2013 — Corgenix Medical Corporation (OTC BB: CONX), a worldwide developer and marketer of diagnostic test kits for important cardiovascular and liver biomarkers as well as innovative products for emerging pathogens and lethal viruses, today announced completion of a major phase of the collaborative effort to combat important viral diseases.

The multi-year study, conducted primarily at the Kenema Government Hospital in Kenema, Sierra Leone, is investigating the clinical utility of several diagnostic products developed by Corgenix and other members of the Viral Hemorrhagic Fever Consortium (VHFC), a collaboration of academic and industry members headed by Tulane University. In this major study, scientists are using Consortium-developed recombinant antigen-based tests to evaluate patients presenting with clinical symptoms of Lassa hemorrhagic fever. Lassa fever is a dangerous, often fatal disease common to much of West Africa and is considered to be a bio-terror threat throughout the world.

“We are very pleased to successfully complete the initial clinical testing phase of our Lassa product development program,” said Douglass Simpson, Corgenix President and CEO. “The first product, a rapid 15-minute test that detects Lassa virus antigen in blood, demonstrated outstanding clinical performance in our studies. It showed its potential to dramatically change the way this disease is detected and treated, with healthcare workers now able to diagnose Lassa infections in the early acute stage, leading to earlier treatment and potentially saving many lives.”

Corgenix said that the first of the products used in the studies, the ReLASVTM Antigen Rapid Test, will be advanced into full commercialization this year. Corgenix has submitted the study results to secure CE Marking, a regulatory requirement in Europe and many other countries.

Lassa virus is a category-A select agent, requiring biosafety level 4 (BSL-4) laboratories. It poses a high individual risk of aerosol-transmitted laboratory infections that cause severe to fatal disease in humans for which vaccines or other treatments are not available. Lassa virus causes Lassa hemorrhagic fever characterized by bleeding and coagulation abnormalities, with mortality rates reported exceeding 25 percent, with children and pregnant women being the highest risk groups. This new rapid test serves the urgent need for screening of suspected Lassa fever cases in the early stages of infection when patients exhibit milder symptoms that can lead to misdiagnosis.

Robert Garry, Ph.D., Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at the Tulane University School of Medicine and Principal Investigator of the Consortium added, “We have been very pleased with the results of our collaborative effort over the past years. The diagnostic products for Lassa have shown to be remarkably effective in clinical settings in Africa and will have a meaningful impact on the health care in that part of the world, and will also fill a critical gap in bioterrorism defense.”

The Consortium will continue its research activities in Sierra Leone, Nigeria and other West African countries advancing other laboratory tests for Lassa and other tropical viral diseases. The research will also assess the potential impact these new generation diagnostic products have on significantly reducing mortality rates through earlier treatment.

The Consortium Lassa products have not yet been cleared for use in the United States by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

AspirinWorks® Test measures levels of inflammatory chemical thromboxane, which can interfere with heart-protective effect of aspirin therapy

DENVER — April 2, 2013 — Corgenix Medical Corporation (OTC BB: CONX), a worldwide developer and marketer of diagnostic test kits, has announced that Atherotech Diagnostics Lab will carry its AspirinWorks® Test for determining aspirin effect.

Under terms of the agreement, Corgenix AspirinWorks product will be used to assess aspirin effect as part of Atherotech Diagnostic Lab’s cardiometabolic testing products. AspirinWorks is the only U.S. FDA-cleared test that measures the urinary biomarker 11-dehydro thromboxane B2 (11dhTxB2) to determine aspirin effect.

“Atherotech is one of the nation’s most recognized and respected labs for comprehensive cardiometabolic testing and cardiovascular risk assessment,” said Douglass Simpson, Corgenix’ President and Chief Executive Officer. “Atherotech’s access to the U.S. primary care market further strengthens the AspirinWorks product, a test that has proven its clinical utility by measuring aspirin effect, thereby enabling physicians to identify an additional influence on aspirin’s ability to aid in reducing heart attack and stroke risk.”

The AspirinWorks Test identifies those individuals who have elevated thromboxane levels despite taking a daily aspirin dose, with studies showing up to 25 percent of individuals not seeing the expected beneficial effects of aspirin. The thromboxane metabolite 11dhTxB2 identified by AspirinWorks has been clinically validated through extensive research and numerous well-designed and well-powered clinical trials. The AspirinWorks 11dhTxB2 Test is FDA-cleared and used by thousands of physicians to test and guide treatment for hundreds of thousands of patients each year worldwide.

Atherotech provides a full complement of more than 60 routine and specialty diagnostic tests, including its patented VAP® Lipid Panel, to help physicians establish the most effective course of treatment from a single source.

About the AspirinWorks Test

Launched in the U.S. in June 2007 following FDA 510(k) clearance, the AspirinWorks Test is available nationwide through major medical laboratories. Unlike functional platelet tests, which require freshly drawn blood that must be evaluated within at least four hours, the AspirinWorks Test is performed on a random urine sample that can be obtained in any doctor’s office or patient service center, making the test convenient for both physician and patient. More information is also available at www.aspirinworks.com.

Revenues up 20% for quarter; remain on pace for another record year

DENVER – February 14, 2013 – Corgenix Medical Corporation (OTC BB: CONX), a worldwide developer and marketer of diagnostic test kits, today filed its second quarter Form 10-Q and reported its financial results. The report disclosed that the company’s revenues increased both for the quarter and year to date. Some of the results highlighted by the report are as follows:Revenues for the quarter increased $412,587 or 20.0% vs. the prior year’s comparable quarter

Revenues for the six months increased $1,055,445 or 24.9% vs. the prior year’s comparable six months

Operating income for the quarter totaled $55,755 vs. an operating loss of $56,722 in the prior year’s comparable quarter

Net income for the quarter amounted to $50,372 vs. a net loss of $90,436 in the prior year’s comparable quarter

EBITDA for the quarter increased $129,900 or 385.5% vs. the prior year’s comparable quarter

“We continued to see excellent growth in the second quarter,” said President and Chief Executive Officer Douglass Simpson. “Our revenue and net income growth exceeded our expectations and we are especially excited about launching our Aspirin Works product into China. While there is much work to do for the remainder of the fiscal year, I am very pleased with the results of the quarter and the effort from our team members to deliver great results.”

The company noted that the quarterly results demonstrated particularly strong growth in sales of the AspirinWorks Test® and the contract manufacturing sector, as the Company’s key customers continue expanding their presence in the U.S. and in important international markets.

The company continues to believe that the third and fourth fiscal quarters will remain strong and that fiscal year 2013 revenues will set another record for annual revenues, currently expected to be approximately $10.6 to $11 million, with substantial improvements in net income and EBITDA versus the prior year. As is always the case, there can be no such assurance that this guidance will be realized.
